Membership

There are several convenient ways to establish membership.

You may join at either one of our two convenient branches by either completing the new account cards and forms in our office or by taking the forms and cards out to be completed at your convenience. The new account forms and cards may also be requested by telephone at (530)842-1694 Ext 10 or at our Mt Shasta Branch at (530)926-6471 x14, 15 or 16 or by e-mail at msr@siskiyoucu.org

Remember to allow enough time (20 to 30 minutes) to complete all the membership information. Proper photo identification such as a current drivers license and your social security information is required. There is a one-time membership fee of $ 5.00, which is non-refundable and a minimum balance requirement of $25.00 in your base share account. If you are opening a checking account you will be required to make a deposit equal to or greater than the cost of your check order.

WHO CAN JOIN?

Effective December 2000, Siskiyou Central Credit Union was granted an expansion of our current field of membership to that of a COMMUNITY field of membership for Siskiyou County. Here is what that means to you:

The field of membership shall be limited to those having the following common bond:

Persons who live, regularly work, regularly attend school, or worship in Siskiyou County, and any businesses, associations, organizations or other legal entities in Siskiyou County.

Officers, directors, committee members and employees of other credit unions.

Family members related to a credit union member by blood or marriage, to include mother, father, sister, brother, children, grandparents, grandchildren and children of legal guardians.

Other credit unions organized under either federal or state laws appertaining to credit unions.

If you can answer yes to any of the above qualifications, then you may join Siskiyou Central Credit Union.
