Membership

Siskiyou Credit Union is a not for profit co-operative organization that is owned by its membership. It’s a place where, when you’re a member, you’re a part of a bigger family. We understand the needs of our tight-knit community and work hard every day to provide quality financial products that keep fees low, dividends high, and the financial success of our membership paramount.

With Siskiyou CU, your money is safe. All member deposits are federally insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration, or NCUA.

And, once you’re a member—you’re one for life.

Why a Credit Union?

Credit Unions aren’t like traditional banks because we don’t have any stockholders to answer to.  As a member, you own shares of our credit union and any profits that we enjoy are returned back to you in the form of high dividends, lower rates, and lower fees.

Additionally, you have a direct impact on the direction we take. With a 100% volunteer, member elected Board of Directors, every decision that’s made has the best interests of the member in mind.

“People helping people” has always been the credit union credo. And it’s ours, too. It’s what we live by every day, for you.  That’s the credit union difference.

Just a one-time $5 membership fee and a minimum opening balance of $25 in a Share Account establishes you as a member.

Stop by our branch or email us at msr@siskiyoucu.org to get a membership form to complete at your convenience.
