SCU Giveback is our community-first initiative created to support the local organizations doing meaningful work right here at home. Each month, we partner with a different nonprofit chosen by our staff, rallying together to raise awareness, lend support, and give back in ways that truly matter. It’s one more way we live out our commitment to strengthening our community, which we’re proud to be part of.

This months Featured Giveback is:

Siskiyou Habitat for Huimanity

Siskiyou Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit housing organization dedicated to building, rehabilitating, and preserving homes right here in Siskiyou County, Rooted in the belief that every person deserves a safe, stable place to live, they bring volunteers, donors, and neighbors together to eliminate sub-standard housing and build stronger communities, one home at a time.

There are so many ways to get involved. You can volunteer on a home build or repair project, donate goods to one of their warehouse locations in Yreka or Montague, give financially online or by mail, or even recycle aluminum cans and bottles in their name. Their Helping Hands program also provides repair and repainting services for low-income homeowners in our community. Every act of support goes directly toward building homes and hope for Siskiyou County families.
