SCU Giveback is our community-first initiative created to support the local organizations doing meaningful work right here at home. Each month, we partner with a different nonprofit chosen by our staff, rallying together to raise awareness, lend support, and give back in ways that truly matter. It’s one more way we live out our commitment to strengthening our community, which we’re proud to be part of.

 

This months Featured Giveback is:

Humanity for Horses

Humanity for Horses is a local nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing lifelong sanctuary to horses in need. Their mission focuses on giving horses a safe, peaceful environment where they are cared for with dignity and compassion.

While Humanity for Horses is a private facility, our community can support their work through sponsorships and direct donations. These contributions go toward everyday essentials for the horses, including feed, hay, and daily care that keeps them healthy and comfortable.

At both of our branches, we’ll be supporting Humanity for Horses by selling 2-inch succulents for $5 each. Each plant includes a tag that reads “Watch your good fortune grow” on one side and features Humanity for Horses and their website on the other. It’s a simple way to support a meaningful cause while taking home something that will continue to grow.

We’ll also continue selling our SCU Giveback stickers for $2 each, including a special horse-themed sticker available throughout the month of March. Every purchase helps support the daily care and nourishment of the horses at Humanity for Horses.

All proceeds will be going to Humanity for Horses.
